A Made By Mrs M Bag!

Craft, London, Products, Sewing, TextilesKate Marsden

I'm pretty sure that anyone who designs fabric loves seeing the things their customers stitch up with it - I really hope this excitement never wears off for me! I regularly share customer makes over on my Instagram, but I have a slightly special one for you today which I feel deserves a post of it's own...

Dorothy Hill is a rather extraordinarily good quilter (if you like quilting go and follow her on Instagram right this minute) and has made several things with my fabrics. A few weeks ago I saw that she was making this bag (which is this pattern - the Noodlehead Market Bag) and was rather excited to see how it turned out.

Then, Dorothy came along on my Art Deco Tube walk, and brought the finished bag with her! I will admit that I squealed. I also set about trying to find somewhere good to photograph it while we were out, and what just appeared as we walked from one station to another? The most beautiful, clean, on-brand, colour coordinated laundrette!

I mean, just look at it!!! It may have gone to my head a little as I ended up climbing on the benches and posing with the bag...

My local laundrette is nowhere near as pretty as this!

A huge thank you to Dorothy for making something so beautiful with my fabrics - you can see work in progress images and what the back looks like over on her Instagram.

If you've made something lovely with my fabrics please do share! The designs seen here are Battersea in blue and Barbican in yellow and they're both available by the metre or fat quarter.
