Very very late to the party on this one! I'd been quietly stalking Lucky Dip Club on Twitter and Instagram for ages before I just happened to be sitting on the sofa and spotted a post just as the September box went live. Now, they tend to sell out really quickly and I've always thought about it too late so I jumped at the chance.
For the uninitiated, Lucky Dip Club is another of the monthly subscription boxes (which I've become rather partial to of late) which is created and designed by it's owner Leona Thrift-ola working alongside a range of designers and makers. Each month there's a theme, and September's was Slumber Party. Here's what my box included...
Personalised brass heart necklace by Lucy Kemp Jewellery (personalised with my initial), Slumber Party Nail Decals by Sara M Lyons, Unicorn Piñata Brooch (which is now on my jacket and receiving much admiration!), Pizza Party Charm and Lucky Charms Snack Lovers Kit Bag.
The bag is was the perfect size to wrap my friend's birthday present in (it's a fabric bag but looks fab, and is an extra gift!) so that's the first thing I did...
The pizza charm is part of a series (you get one in every box - the first one apparently came with a charm bracelet), but as I don't have any of the others I decided to put that and the heart necklace on the same chain and I'm wearing it as I type.
The decals are going to look pretty fab (and detract from any chips) over the top of my blue shellac when I need to get a couple more days out of it!
Each month the box comes with a little zine with more about the designers involved, maker of the month, subscriber of the month and more bits and bobs inside.
So I had to pick my box up from the Post Office (as I have the world's smallest letterbox) and therefore received it on the 30th, right before the next box was released on 1 October (I think this is a great idea though as you're still thinking about how fab last months' box was when you have to get on and order the next one!). That and the fact that October's box contains biscuitty goodness from Nikki McWilliams meant I had no choice but to buy another. I may even end up subscribing.... but watch this space and I'll share the contents of October's box soon!
