When the folks at MidCentury Magazine got in touch and asked if I'd like to take a look at a copy, I jumped at the chance! From the look of their website I thought it'd be right up my street, and I wasn't wrong...

Aside from the obvious delight of the magazine arriving beautifully packaged (cheering me up on a miserable wet day), and the fact that it smells divine (stick with me) it's a thing of beauty which made me ooh and ahh on nearly every page.

The magazine refers to itself as "The contemporary guide to modern living" and it achieves this with it's eye firmly upon my favourite era for design, the mid 20th century. I found beautiful images of textiles, architecture, furnishings and some really stunning home tours. Oh and Park Hill appears in this issue which made me even happier!

I've just snapped a few of my favourite pages but issue 8 runs to a whole 146 of them. Lots to read too so it should keep me going for a while (and is worthy of a spot on the bookcase once I've finished).

I liked the feature on travel posters - sharing this one of Southend as the little man and I went there during the summer...

And the piece on textile designer Robert Stewart...

I could go on!

Subscriptions to MidCentury Magazine are available via their website. They also have a rather good sounding app which enables you to view their back catalogue - you can find this on iTunes.

I received a free copy of MidCentury Magazine for review purposes, but all thoughts are my own.
