Last Thursday I was at Tate Britain, and then found myself with 20 minutes to spare. The shows were on at Chelsea College of Art (next door) and I couldn't pass up the opportunity to pop back in and have a nosey around. I headed straight for the BA Textiles on the ground floor (I'm assuming there were more textiles which I missed, but I ran out of time!). Here's a little roundup of those I did get to see...
Probably my favourite in the room - wonderful textures and colours from Laura Shrimpton.
Stunning pieces which resembled sea creatures by Jing Tan.
Painted and printed textiles by Jiawen Zhong.
Bold prints from Sarah Flynn.
A beautiful array of printed and embellished garments by Chloe Flint.
Sculptural textiles by Kuniko Maeda.
Knitwear from Jennifer Gibson.
Weaving and textured yarns by Seiichi Yamamoto.
Prints by Marianne Bauer.
Textured knitwear from Katherine Hatton.
