I had the pleasure of taking a trip over to Teddington a couple of weeks ago to visit Stephanie Wilkinson in her studio. Stephanie is an artist working in a variety of media (charcoal and acrylic on canvas alongside a more graphic "pattern pen painting" style using Promarker pens), and her colourful work is inspired by interiors, women and beautiful places, in particular where she grew up in Brazil and in Indonesia.
Stephanie studied with Slade-trained tutors at RACC before moving on to a degree at Wimbledon School of Art. She sells her work through galleries and at art fairs, as well as by personal introduction, and regularly runs workshops in a variety of media from her Teddington studio.
You can find out more about Stephanie on her website and she's also on Twitter. Her latest exhibition, The Winter Collection, which sees her exhibit alongside ceramicist Carmela Kantorowicz, opens tomorrow 3 February (Tuesday to Sunday until the 15th) at The Fountain Gallery, 26 Bridge Road, East Molesey KT8 9HA - do pop along and see her new paintings if you can.
This is a very image heavy post (as it should be for a studio tour!) - enjoy!
