I always love to send and receive lovely mail, so I jumped at the opportunity to get involved in Mirta of Mi+ed Design's Snail Mail project. We were tasked with sending something we'd made ourselves. something bought and something old to the partner we were matched with. I was matched up with Giulia of Keep Calm and Knit, and this is what I received!
A very happy post day, I'm sure you'll agree!
For the item she'd made, Giulia sent me one of her sea monsters - I just adore him and think he needs a name - suggestions welcome! My son would be after him in an instant, so I've hidden him away on my desk and look at him while I work (bad mummy). You can get your hands on one of Giulia's monsters here (I have my eye on the jellyfish....).
The bought items are these lovely little cards from Mi+ed Design (and the notecard which is also from Mi+ed).
And finally, something old - a selection of photographs Giulia took some time ago - I love these and think I might have to pop them in a frame in my studio.
This is what I sent to her:
Something made by me - Mrs M lavender bag featuring my 50's City Office fabric, something bought - cute Japanese notebook, and something old - vintage buttons (which I actually bought from Duck & Duffel so sort of cheating here!). All accompanied by a note on one of my favourite Kate Spade embossed notecards.
Such fun! Thanks to Mirta for organising and to Giulia for sending me such lovely treats!
