It's that time again! It only seems like 5 minutes ago that I put last year's decorations away and today is the day when I get them out again and have a sort through in readiness for putting them back up! I therefore thought that today would be an ideal day to share some of my little Christmas decorating ideas with you.
So, we'll start with my tree.
As you can see, I usually go for silver with some accents of pink - planning a few more brighter colours this year. The baubles are a mix of new (collected over about 15 years), vintage and handmade (either by me or bought from other makers).
While we're on the topic of vintage, I have these wonderful 1950s reindeer glasses in the drinks cabinet!
And handmade, you ask? This little felted Christmas sign was my design for my Christmas card last year - I now use it as a decoration.
I also made some paper bunting. I posted a tutorial for a similar one back in the spring - here.
Some new items for this year include some cross stitch.
Both of the pictures above are also available to buy in my Folksy shop.
I thought I'd also share a little table decoration shot from last year.
And a Christmas card holder decorated with a lovely little star made by my son (aaah).
Finally, as a little plug (sorry), these are my Christmas cards this year. For the first time ever I am selling them as well as sending them (they proved really popular at the craft fairs I attended last month). You can get your hands on a pack of 5 here.
I'm really looking forward to getting everything out of the boxes now! Hope you enjoy putting your decorations up too!
