I think my blog may be feeling a little neglected of late, but I've been so caught up in the Olympic fever that I seem to have run out of time for doing anything else!
In the brief moments when I haven't been watching people carry a flaming torch around London or watching the sport itself, I've been doing a little cross stitch:
The piece on the left you may recognise if you follow me on Twitter. I've been working on this for quite a while but have only just finished it. The one on the right was finished yesterday evening (while I watched yet more beach volleyball) and as you can see, it bears a bit of a resemblance to a certain block of flats in Sheffield (Park Hill, in case you're new to my blog).
In other news, I've been busy crocheting squares for a rather exciting yarnstorming project which is due to take place in Manchester this autumn. Here are mine - I will shortly be taking them down to the Post Office:
If you'd like to get involved in the project, you have until 1 September to send in your squares. You can contact the Yarnbomb Consortium via their Facebook page.
Now, back to the cycling....
