I've just returned from my holiday, which is rather miserable (especially considering the weather back here in the UK). I was however rather looking forward to the prospect of looking at (and making something from) my copy of the new book by Christine Leech and Hannah Read-Baldrey:
And here it is. Everything Oz is the latest from the creators of last year's wonderful Everything Alice, so I was quite excited.
As you can see from the picture above, its a book of both makes and bakes (and I'm no cook - although I have to say that I'm really tempted by the coconut ice recipe), so I'll be mostly making. I only returned home yesterday so didn't want to embark on too major a project. I therefore decided to have a go at the Giant Rosettes awarded for Courage:
Not as pretty as those in the book but they were rather fun to make and I'm determined to make some in a festive colour way for Christmas (along with the wreath for my front door!).
Next on the list though is definitely this pinny:
Something else that might get me into the kitchen!
The book is full of future presents for the children in my life - a dress up Dorothy and Toto, Toto cushion, and The Cowardly Lion hand puppet to name but a few. I'm thinking of combining some of the projects in this with those in Everything Alice - there's lots of room to put my own spin on things too.
Finally I have to share these beautiful Emerald Headpieces with you, I just need to find a suitable event and I'll be making one:
Right, now I'm off to find out Which Witch I am.....
Everything Oz is published by Quadrille and is out now, priced at £14.99.
