During my first ever trip to the Fashion and Textile Museum, it briefly crossed my mind to ask them if I could move in. I can't really believe I'd never been before (and as an ex-fashion student this is particularly poor).
The current exhibition is what finally got me in there. Designing Women - Post War British Textiles focusses on the work of Lucienne Day, Jacqueline Groag and Marian Mahler plus some works by Paule Vézelay, Mary White and Mary Warren. This is the sight that greeted me - you can see why I stayed for quite some time!
The exhibition continues at the Fashion and Textile Museum, 83 Bermondsey Street, London SE1 3XF until 16 June.
In other news, I've been doing some more cross stitch:
Undecided as to whether to turn the top one into a cushion or not. I also have plans to do some more screen printing now that the weather has improved (bathroom is now too good to risk spraying inks all over it so this has become an outdoors job). Watch this space.
